ONUR GÜRKAN İLE SÖYLEŞİ
Koç University Research Fellow Onur Gürkan’s first photography book, Tatil / Holiday, takes readers on a journey through memory. The homes captured through Gürkan’s eyes—where he spent his holidays with his grandmother and grandfather—form the book’s main settings; it is also enriched with photographs from the family archive. With its distinctive approach—setting it apart from other photography books—and the familiar look of a photo album, the book allows readers to discover fragments of their own lives within its pages. It is rounded off with an interview between Onur Gürkan and Pelin Derviş appended at the end. The book’s design, which allows readers to rearrange the content as they wish, is the work of Çağla Turgul and Onur Gürkan.
